Each Astrological age lasts about 2150 years, while a complete cycle of all Ages takes 25,775 years, also referred to as THE GREAT YEAR.

We are at the threshold of a NEW AGE, as the PISCES/VIRGO Age fades, and the AQUARIUS/LEO Age emerges. A fascinating study looking through the historical changes of the previous ages, and understanding the deeper meanings of the new cycle coming.

Classical Greece viewed the world in a particular narrative which included the rulership of the 12 Olympians in all human affairs. There is a connection between these 12 Olympians and the zodiac. Learning about these specific correspondences will give you a broader and more diverse understanding of the components of each of the twelve signs.

The GEODEDIC World Map
If you are interested in or following global affairs and your location, the geodetic world map is an excellent place to begin. The geodetic zodiac is based on a 0⁰ Aries Point which begins at 0⁰ longitude on the earth – the celestial sphere overlaid on the terrestrial sphere. Following the movement of eclipses and outer planets which remain in effect for quite a while over certain locations – can give us important insights into global trends and conditions.

The Harmony and Beauty of the VENUS CYCLE
This is an interactive workshop which will introduce the audience to the orbital pattern of Venus, the pentagram, Venus retrograde and the cazimi. We will demonstrate how the five star points of Venus are always present, behind the zodiac, operating on a special 5th Harmonic resonance.

The Venus Star Point brings a special activation and illumination to our lives, such as joy, passion and inspiration. We will discuss each person’s Star Point, along with mapping the 5 star points active in one’s life. We will also take a look at the current position of the Venus Pentagram to see how its strength and power is acting in the world.

Let our SUN SHINE – Deeper Explorations of our Inner Light

In the midst of a Solar Eclipse in Leo, we will examine and emphasize the Sun in our horoscope. Success in life is based on authenticity, becoming who we are. As in the heavens, the Sun in our chart is the brightest object in our universe. It is central to our purpose, vitality and identity. The Sun reveals our deepest aspirations, the path to a rewarding life. We come alive when living out  the qualities of our Sun.

The FIRE HOUSES in your Chart

The identities we establish at certain times in our lives may be meant to fall away. We all know people who have stayed stuck in a role: the good daughter, the wild one, the college star. Life has moved on but they cannot. When our lives feel too bound, too constrained, we may be caught in an identity that has become too small. This signals time to expand our sense of self, to step into a new version of our lives. Such a step can come gradually, when things have reached a natural ending and it is time to choose who we are all over again. We may have finished studies, our children have grown, or a parent has died. It can also be sudden, brought on by changes in relationships or work, or unexpected life events that can blow apart our sense of self.

At every moment of our lives, the self is trying to emerge, to live fully. While there is continuity between these different selves, on the deepest level, identity is something mysterious.

The fire houses carry a major part of the energy for the emerging self, the one we are seeking to become. The 9th house pulls us to an ideal, while the 5th is where we create. Play is a form of learning, and the self we invent here. can stay at a make believe stage or truly open us to life. We will look at the invented self and the ideal, way stations on the path of the true self, and how each version is anchored in the 1st house.

MERCURY-HERMES – Language of the Gods
Mercury, or Hermes, is perhaps the little brother of the planets. He is the one who moves quicky and delivers their messages. In this class, we honor Mercury by emphasizing his importance in the work he does. By looking at charts of authors and astrologers, we will see how he influences one’s writing and communication styles. I plan to discuss your Mercury and see the role he plays in your life.

Facing Difficult Transits – How to Discuss Astrology Without Scaring Anyone or Yourself
Much of what we do as astrologers is translate what we know about the planets to those who haven’t studied our art. When we work with clients, or study our own charts, we see things that look scary. I want to help you find the vocabulary to interpret what you see so that it doesn’t shock you or fill you with doom. We will discuss how using images in our explanations helps by opening our imagination to what can be, and not focus on what bad things could happen.

The NODAL CYCLE: 18.5 Year Cycle
The relationship between the transiting Lunar Nodes in our natal chart provides insight into significant changes in our lives. The returns and half returns of the Lunar Nodes in their natal positions are associated with major fateful events. These are the times when we experience important opportunities or are tested regarding our mission in life and our being here. In this presentation, Öner Döşer explores the transits of the Lunar Nodes with striking examples.

Solar and Lunar eclipses are important events as they influence the native’s life and the events that the native faces. Eclipses trigger planets in our natal charts, important reference points like the Ascendant and Midheaven, and important Arabic points like the Part of Fortune, the Part of Soul, and the Part of Incarnation, which coincide with important events in our lives. In this presentation, Öner Döşer, author of “Solar and Lunar Eclipses in Astrology,” discusses the effects of eclipses on natal charts with some striking examples.
